PEDIAKID® Balépou® shampoo is a hair shampoo designed to be used on wet hair and intended for use when head lice and nits are present. The formula relies on the mechanical action of coconut oil, which works by suffocating lice, without using chemical repellents. It comes in a 200 ml bottle and is presented as a Class I medical device under European regulation. The composition also includes tocopheryl acetate and chlorhexidine digluconate, alongside a cleansing base with surfactants. According to the manufacturer, the formula is hypoallergenic and suitable for children over 3 months. The directions include applying evenly to wet hair, massaging the scalp, and rinsing thoroughly after the leave-on time. After rinsing, removing lice with a comb is recommended.
